Dr Shawkat is a friendly and caring doctor with 23 yrs of experience in different subspecialties in medical field. He worked as an Intensivist In a tertiary Cardiothoracic Unit overseas.
In Australia he worked as a Senior Registrar across a range of Hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney including Box Hill Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital & Newcastle Private Hospital where he gained advanced experience in Emergency & Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiology, Geriatric Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Toxicology, General Surgery & Paediatrics. After several years working in General Medicine, he commenced working in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has special training in skin cancer surgery. He performs skin checks, skin cancer surveillance, skin cancer surgery and field treatment. He has specialist interest in Melanoma. He is an active member of Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
